Drift Games Nationals first event

Since the change of name from classic IDC, Irish Drift Championship, to Drift Games, the expectations are high. And now the first event has taken place.

The former IDC has also been split into two different series. Drift Games Nationals and Drift Games Extreme. Nationals are Pro-Am drivers and Extreme are world famous, or even infamous, pro drivers from different countries.

In the first ever Drift Games Nationals young Luke Barker took the win. He stunned people at his licensing only a few weeks ago, and now already he’s at the top of the podium in a competition. Amazing job by young Luke.

Andy Earle got to meek Barker in the final, but found the yongster to be more aggressive in his driving.

The third spot on the podium was occupied by Lee McFadden, after a close battle for third with Daryl Barnett. Barnett pushed a little too hard in his lead run, whick lead to an error and that gave McFadden the third spot on the podium.

Next round in Drift Games Nationals in on May 5th in Watergrasshill. But before that it is time to release Drift Games Extreme on Mondello Park on April 20th to 21st.
